Are you looking to become more comfortable with color and painting?
In this course, students will explore the world of color and painting through a series of prompts from real-life and imagination. Students will be introduced to contemporary painters and mixed-media artists to develop their understanding of what painting is and can be. Students will learn basic color theory, color mixing, as well as acrylic and watercolor painting techniques to create successful paintings. Students will be encouraged to take these skills and use them in a way that is personalized and that allows them to grow in their own direction.
Required materials: Paint Saver Palette (can be purchased at studio), mixed media sketchbook for wet materials.
Suggested materials: A variety of paint brushes, small set of watercolors (pan or tube).
