Chummeng Soun is a practicing artist based in Lowell. He graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Art & design at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. His four years without doubt helped him define his journey and shaped his intellectual experiences. Coursework allowed him to master both traditional skills in painting and drawing as well as new technologies in interactive media.
He is a Principal Dancer at the Angkor Dance Troupe, an organization focused on connecting communities through the preservation of Cambodian Performing Arts.
Most recently, in the summer of 2019, he was accepted into the Design Discovery Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Design in Architecture. This program impacted both his method and intellectual creative research and approach to problem-finding/solving and solutions. All of these experiences in accumulation lead him to work with Refuge.
